Lacy Hartselle is a Los Angeles based actress, originally from Huntsville, Alabama. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.F.A. in Acting from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. She has spent the past 7 years filming TV shows, feature length and short films, pilots, pitch tapes, national commercials, and music videos, while also performing in the theatre sporadically. Keep a look out for the feature film Christmas in July releasing later this year that Lacy played a lead role in. She was also the lead in the horror feature Curse of the Nun shot in Nashville, TN that released Sept. 4th 2018 in the US after it's international theatrical release. Some of her other credits include: co-starring as Luke’s intern in season 4 of ABC’s Nashville, playing the lead role “Haley Jones” in an episode of Oxygen Network’s series #Killerpost, and working alongside Academy Award winning actress, Melissa Leo, with a featured, named role in the coming-of-age drama Novitiate – bought by Sony Pictures Classics that premiered in October 2017. Up next, she’s training with Michael Monks in the advanced acting class at the Ivanna Chubbuck Studio. And she is thrilled for her new partnership with the commercial department at Abrams Artists Agency! Overall, Lacy is very affirmed that she is where she is supposed to be, pursuing her dreams!
Lacy has studied various styles and techniques of dance, acting and singing. She was honored with the title of "Best Actress" all three times that she participated in the Nashville 48 Hour Film Festival in 2012, 2014 and 2018. Lacy has taken on roles in a variety of genres: drama, comedy, crime, silent, romance, romantic comedy, musicals, music videos, fantasy, sport, mystery and even reality (Steady Mobbin’ original on Dance Network & I Love Kellie Pickler on CMT).
Lacy continues to work out her athletic past as a cheerleader, gymnast and diver. She is a certified yoga instructor, scuba diver and makeup artist. Lacy did the makeup for one of Toni & Guy’s International Hairdressing shows at Schwarzkopf Professional when she studied abroad in Vienna, Austria. She feels blessed to have traveled to numerous countries while learning to speak German and Spanish conversationally. Her love for travel fuels her passion for studying other cultures and dialects then introducing them into her work. She has also learned heaps from serving on eye-opening mission trips to Ecuador, Mexico and Honduras. Around her friends and family, Lacy is probably best known for her impersonation of Mad TV’s Miss Swan and her whimsical “machine gun” laugh.
